• Eng. Alwasil: More than 3,000 registered in ”Forsa” representing 19 sectors

    Eng. Alwasil, director of Forsa platform, said during a meeting Tuesday in Asharqia Chamber that more than 3,000 registered in (Forsa) representing 19 sectors.

     

    Eng. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Wasil, Director of the platform, reviewed the most important features of the platform in providing business opportunities in terms of connecting the registered suppliers in the platform with the buyers in the private and government sectors electronically.

    Tuesday monthly meeting was organized by Asharqia Chamber in its headquarter, and it was directed by the Secretary-General Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil in the presence of a number of members of the Board of Directors and a number of businessmen and interested parties.

    During the meeting, Al-Wasil said that the platform aims to increase the participation of small and medium enterprises in commercial opportunities to ensure their stability and growth. This based on the platform's vision to be the first platform for commercial opportunities in the Kingdom. He pointed out that the challenges faced by the small and medium enterprises sector in the Kingdom are numerous. The most prominent one is that the percentage of workers in the sector represents 34% compared to other countries. The Saudization rate in the sector does not exceed 15%. In addition, the contribution of the sector to the domestic product does not exceed 20%. The percentage of enterprises receiving funding compared to non-Gulf countries does not exceed 2%, in addition to government procedures.

    Al-Wasil mentioned that the platform was the product of the 9/10th  program. More than 3,300 enterprises that were representing 19 sectors, including advertising and e-business, have been registered. He noted that the registration on the platform is free of charge.

    On the work of the platform, Al-Wasil pointed out that the buyer registered in the platform could browse the offers that provided by suppliers or ask for offers from them, and choose the best price that best suited its possibilities in a transparent manner. He added that the platform provides an electronic evaluation in order to increase customer's confidence and trust.

    Al-Wasil stressed that the opportunities published on the platform amounted to 1344 opportunities; 510 opportunities were approved, and 7861 offers were made.

    He noted that the value of the published opportunities amounted to 80 million riyals, while the value of approved opportunities was 20 million riyals. The rate of offers for each opportunity has reached 6 offers.

    Al Wasil emphasized that the platform aims to serve the small and medium enterprises sector through spreading and helping in the development of business and increasing the customers' confidence and trust (electronic evaluation).In addition, it saves time and effort, and provides the possibility of placing requests for B2B. Forsa platform is also an added value for large companies in terms of reaching the largest number of suppliers, increasing transparency, developing the economy and society, and saving time and effort.

    At the end of the meeting, Bandar Al-Jabri, a board member, honored the guest Eng. Abdullah Al-Wasil with a commemorative shield in the presence of the board member, Najib Al-Sihati.​
